The Last Florida Cold Weather Photo – Ice on the Windshield

The Cosmic Prank of Florida Cold Weather May Be Over

Is the great cosmic joke over in Florida? We’ve had snow, ice and cold weather for over a week – it seems like much longer. The forecasted low for this coming morning is 51F. That’s about 25 degrees higher than we’ve been seeing for a low. Ahhhhhhhh.

I took this picture yesterday morning. I’m hoping this is the last Florida cold weather photo for a long time.

I can’t remember when it was this cold for this long in Florida. We have lived in the state since 1986, with only a short three year stay in Pennsylvania. It’s the longest cold period that I’ve experienced in the 21 years that we’ve lived here.

My son picked me up this morning so I didn’t need to scrape the ice off the Jeep’s windshield. I’m sure many in the state went through that unfamiliar task. Credit cards work pretty well when you’re without a scraper.

The photo was taken with my trusty Olympus Stylus Tough 6000 that’s always in my pocket. It’s a great camera with a lot of flexibility. This was just a quick point and shoot in program mode.

Camera Info: Olympus Stylus Tough 6000, 1/40 sec., f/4.1, ISO 80, 6.5mm.
