Photo of the Day – Cranes Lakes Golf Course Number 8

The fountain spouted in all its glory. As I stood waiting today on the tee box of the 8th hole at Crane Lakes Golf Course in Port Orange, I notice the fountain water being blown around by the wind. I grabbed my Olympus Stylus Tough 6000 and took this shot.

Cranes Lakes is what many would call an executive golf course. It’s about 3,600 yards from the white tees. It’s a nice little course, but challenging if your iron game is not working. There’s water on just about every hole. The first time I played here, I lost about a dozen balls because I didn’t know where the water was. I lost two today, but I hadn’t played in about a month, so that’s not too bad.

I carry the Olympus Tough wherever I go, even to the golf course now. I love this camera. It’s waterproof and drop proof. I keep it in my pocket most of the time. I also used it today on a real estate photo shoot. Most of the photos were take with my Olympus E-520, but the Tough will give me a little wider angle. I was able to get a better shot of the dining room with this camera than with the E-520.
