Oh No! Snow in Florida! – Photo of the Day

More evidence of global warming sweeps into Florida with snow in Ormond Beach. 8:30 in the morning and it’s still cold enough for snow. The HIGH temperature for today is going to be 39F, or 4C. The low tonight is forecasted at 25F or -4C.

I took the following photo of our Jeep with the massive morning accumulation. The black of the Jeep contrast vividly with white of the snow.

It is so cold that the heat pump on our A/C heating unit cannot keep up. I was up until 4 am and it was on without a break from 11:00. I finally turned it down this morning to give it a break.

Perhaps there is some higher power who has turned off the heat for us and won’t turn it back up until Al Gore admits that global warming is a hoax. Come on Al! I don’t know – just thinking…

I used the Olympus Stylus Tough 6000 for this photo. It’s a sealed camera so the weather won’t affect it. Since I didn’t go to sleep until after 4 o’clock, I’m happy that Lynn woke me for the snow so I could get this shot.

Camera Info: Olympus Stylus Tough 6000, 1/40 sec., f/4.5, ISO 200, 10.3mm.
